Ann Cowan, Vice President, Engineering, deCarta
Ann joined deCarta in November of 2001. She has 21 years' experience in software product development engineering and management. Before joining deCarta she worked at InterTrust Technologies, Inc. as Vice President of Engineering and then as Senior Vice President of TrustNet, an ASP service for InterTrust partners. She has also held senior management and engineering positions at Silicon Graphics, Inc., ASK/Ingres, and other software companies. Her experience includes building and managing teams that successfully deliver products focused on end-to-end product solutions for RDBMS, network protocols, 24x7 production systems, software developer kits, web server solutions and user applications. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in computer science from Texas Christian University, Fort Worth, Texas.

J. Kim Fennell, President and Chief Executive Officer, deCarta
J. Kim Fennell joined deCarta as President and Chief Executive Officer on May 24, 2004, bringing 25 years of management experience in the telecommunications and computer industries. Prior to deCarta, he was President and CEO of Pinnacle Systems (Nasdaq: PCLE) where he led the company through record growth to over $330 million in revenue and expanded its market reach through several strategic acquisitions. He previously served as President and CEO of StorageWay, a VC-financed data storage service provider. Earlier, Fennell was a corporate vice president at Lucent Technologies with responsibility for the Communications Applications Group, a $2 billion business unit focused on CRM, messaging and Internet protocol applications. He then helped spin-off Avaya from Lucent in 2000 as part of the Avaya executive team. Fennell was an early executive at Octel Communications in 1986, which was later acquired by Lucent in 1997. At Octel, he established and ran several key divisions in succession including Canada, Europe/Middle East/Africa and then all International Operations. Prior to Octel he held sales and marketing management positions at ROLM and Burroughs. Fennell is a graduate of Queen's University at Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

Richard Poppen, Vice President, Research and Development and Chief Technology Officer, deCarta
Rich joined deCarta in 1997 as its first non-founding employee. Rich holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Pomona College and a master's degree in mathematics from Stanford University, and has more than 34 years' experience in the development and analysis of mathematical algorithms, including 15 years in the digital mapping and navigation industries. Rich holds nine patents. He also serves on the board of trustees of The Good Shepherd Fund (www.goodshepherdfund.org).

Marc Prioleau, Vice President, Marketing, deCarta
Marc joined deCarta in 2005. He brings twenty years of technology marketing, with the last nine years in the location technology and Internet search markets. Prior to deCarta, Marc directed the high-growth consumer and enterprise markets for SiRF Technology, a leading provider of GPS-enabled location technology, contributing significantly to SiRF's successful IPO in 2004. Before SiRF, he was Vice President of Business Development for Outride inc. (acquired by Google), responsible for commercializing Outride's advanced search technology with leading Internet search engines. Marc also held executive positions at Trimble Navigation where he led marketing for embedded GPS products in the automotive, timing and mobile computing markets. Marc has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering/Materials Science from University of California, Davis and a Master's degree from Harvard Graduate School of Business.

William C. Schwegler, Senior Vice President, Strategic Initiatives, deCarta
Bill Schwegler has been with deCarta since the company's 1996 inception. He brings more than 18 years of computer industry experience to the company, including a period in which he founded two previous start-up companies. Bill has extensive skill in integrating new technologies to create innovative products, as well as in identifying new markets and distribution channels for those products.
